PLATFORM OVERVIEW

VHP X is a rider-configurable performance platform. One architecture that supports:

01

multiple travel configurations

02

drivetrain freedom of choice

03

adjustable rear-center balance

04

 mullet or full 29"

The goal is not complexity. The goal is freedom.

Travel Options

From Trail to Downhill.

Fine Travel Adjustments

Reducing shock stroke by 2.5 mm reduces rear travel by approximately 5 mm.

This allows riders to fine-tune platform behavior around their riding priorities.

185 × 55 mm shock

Responsive and efficient for aggressive trail riding and technical enduro terrain.

Focused on:

  • responsiveness
  • acceleration
  • technical precision
  • balanced support

Rear travel (mm) options :

Shock Setup MX High MX Low 29 High 29 Low
185x47.5 137 132 137 133

225 × 75 mm shock

Maximum stability and composure for gravity, park, and downhill-focused riding.

The 200 mm configuration also runs slightly slacker for increased high-speed confidence.

Focused on:

  • stability
  • composure
  • rough terrain control
  • maximum confidence at speed

Rear travel(mm) options :

DRIVETRAIN PHILOSOPHY

VHP X can be configured around two drivetrain architectures.

BSA Configuration

Compatible with traditional crank and derailleur systems using a threaded BSA bottom bracket standard.

Focused on:

  • familiarity
  • drivetrain compatibility
  • conventional setup simplicity
  • lightweight configurations

Pinion Smart.Shift Configuration

Built around the Pinion Smart.Shift gearbox platform.

Focused on:

  • reduced maintenance
  • drivetrain durability
  • shifting consistency in demanding terrain
  • centralized mass
The goal is not to force one drivetrain ideology. The goal is to allow riders to choose the system that best fits how they ride.mise on performance and style.

Deep Dive: Gearbox vs Derailleur

Rider-Controlled Balance

Most bikes come with a fixed rear-center length. The designer decides how the bike balances, and every rider is expected to adapt. VHP X takes a different approach.

Through interchangeable dropout options, riders can adjust rear-center length to better match their body position, riding style, terrain, and setup preferences. Whether you prefer a more agile feel, additional front-wheel support, or maximum high-speed stability, the platform can be tuned to your riding style.

Available rear-center configurations range from +0 mm to +30 mm, with intermediate options available for riders who want to fine-tune their setup even further. The result is a bike that feels more natural, more balanced, and more confidence-inspiring beneath you.

+0

Fun, agility, and a more compact ride feel.

Typically for sizes S and M.

+10

Balanced setup for most riders and terrain.

Typically for sizes M and ML.

+20

Increased front-wheel support and stability.

Typically for sizes ML and L.

+30

Maximum stability and confidence at speed.

Typically for sizes L and XL.

Small adjustments available: +5 mm and +15 mm dropouts for riders looking to fine-tune their setup.

There is no universally perfect rear-center length.

Rider height, body position, terrain, speed, and riding style all influence what feels balanced.

VHP X allows riders to choose the setup that inspires the most confidence.

Adjustable Shock Mount

Our four-position shock mount lets you fine-tune the platform to your riding preferences.

Switch between 29" and mixed-wheel (mullet) configurations while simultaneously adjusting suspension progression. Whether you're looking for maximum stability, increased pop, or a more supportive suspension feel, the system lets you tailor the bike without compromising geometry or performance.

Lug Finish

All aluminum lugs receive a satin-matte technical anodization. This finish is an integral part of the manufacturing process, providing the optimal surface condition for structural bonding between the aluminum lugs and carbon tubes while helping protect against galvanic corrosion.

The result is a durable, low-maintenance finish that prioritizes long-term reliability and performance over cosmetic trends.

Platform Overview

The KAVENZ VHP X is built around a single modular frame platform. By changing fork travel and shock configuration, the bike can be transformed from a capable trail bike into a full-fledged freeride machine while retaining the same frame.

Geometry & Interfaces

The KAVENZ VHP X platform is built around a single frame. Instead of offering different frame versions for different riding styles, the bike's character is tuned through suspension configuration.

By changing fork travel and shock size, the VHP X can be configured for anything from aggressive trail riding to bike park laps and full freeride use. These changes alter the bike's geometry, ride height, suspension travel, and overall handling characteristics while retaining the same proven frame platform. All geometry charts below are based on the specified fork travel and resulting ACT (Axle-to-Crown length). Since ACT directly influences the bike's geometry, each suspension configuration has its own dedicated geometry chart.

Kinematics:

High pivot bikes are known for their ability to carry momentum through rough terrain. The rear wheel moves out of the way of impacts rather than fighting them, helping the bike maintain speed, traction, and composure when the trail gets demanding.
