How It's Made

The VHP X combines CNC-machined aluminum lugs with carbon fiber tubes to create a lightweight, durable, and highly modular frame. All components are manufactured in the EU and bonded in-house, allowing us to maintain full control over quality, precision, and long-term performance.

The modular construction enables efficient repairs, future upgrades, and continuous product evolution. Built to perform today and adapt for tomorrow.

How It's Made

The VHP X is the result of a manufacturing philosophy that combines specialist expertise, precision engineering, and hands-on assembly.

Every frame begins with precision-machined aluminum lugs. These components house the bearing seats, suspension pivots, drivetrain interfaces, and the frame's structural connection points. By machining these parts individually, we can maintain tight tolerances where they matter most while retaining the flexibility to evolve the platform over time.

The carbon tubes are manufactured by CompoTech, a Czech composite specialist with decades of experience producing advanced carbon structures for demanding industrial and sporting applications. Their filament-wound tubes provide exceptional consistency, durability, and strength.

The aluminum lugs and carbon tubes are then bonded by SpanTech, experts in structural composite bonding and advanced manufacturing. This process combines the advantages of carbon and aluminum into a single frame architecture, enabling optimized load paths and long-term durability.

The rear triangle is manufactured by Sanfa in China, one of the world's leading aluminum bicycle frame manufacturers. Their expertise in precision welding and aluminum fabrication ensures the same level of quality and consistency found throughout the rest of the frame.

To simplify service and improve long-term reliability, the entire frame uses Enduro Bearings, with a single bearing type throughout. This reduces spare part complexity and makes servicing easier for riders and dealers alike.

Rather than hiding the material beneath filler and thick layers of paint, the carbon tubes retain their raw tape finish. This creates our most durable and environmentally conscious finish while showcasing the material in its authentic form.

Once the frame components arrive in Münster, Germany, every VHP X is assembled, inspected, and quality-checked by the team at 77designz. Bearings, hardware, suspension components, and finishing details are installed before the frame leaves our workshop.

From suspension kinematics and geometry development to final assembly and quality control, every step is focused on creating a platform that delivers predictable performance, long-term reliability, and rider confidence.

The result is a frame that combines the expertise of leading specialists across Europe and Asia with engineering, assembly, and support from Münster, Germany.
